Quality Control is an integral part of the production process and furthermore it is a requirement of our ISO 9001:2008 Certification. Our Quality Control Process ensures that our customers receive a superior Quality Product. Our Laboratory acts as the customer's representative within the organisation and operates very independently to retain that strict relationship of control over production. The lab effectively polices the manufacture of our products to ensure not only do they meet the customer's specification but also to maintain consistent product quality from batch to batch. This consistency of product quality allows our customers to apply the same methods and controls to each and every job.
The laboratory has at its disposal the necessary equipment to carry out the relevant tests on Bituminous Emulsions as required in the NRA Binder Specifications for 2009. All test equipment is calibrated by certified calibration houses as required in our Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008
The company has been ISO 9001 certified since 1992 and is currently certified to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Standard. As part of our QMS certification we undergo annual ISO 9001:2008 audits by the National Standards Authority of Ireland resulting in very positive feedback.
Using standards such as ISO 9001:2008, enables us to collect information about our processes, which is subsequently monitored in our Management Review process to continually expand and devise improvement plans for the future in the application of objectives, targets and strategic plans. Quality is a crucial aspect of our business. We state in our Quality Policy "The Company is committed to pursuing a policy of quality, efficiency, reliability, economy and excellence in the manufacture of our products and in the provision of our services. We strive to do the job right first time and every time through a process of continual improvement. Every employee realises their responsibility for the quality of their own work and is fully committed to participate in the effective operation of the quality system. Each employee is trained to treat their colleagues as internal customers and perform their work accordingly".

Push represents the encouragement of continual improvement by setting realistic targets and goals and Pull represents the identification and exposure of opportunities for improvement (OFI's).
